Splitser re-elected as the Most Popular Financial App in the Netherlands

The app Splitser has once again been chosen by the Dutch public as the Most Popular Financial App of the Year during the annual Website of the Year awards, organized by Emerce and Multiscope. This marks the fourth consecutive year that the app has won this prestigious audience award (2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025). A total of 420,724 votes were cast this year.
In the Financial Apps category, the following apps were among the nominees:
- ING Banking
- Tikkie (ABN AMRO)
- Bunq
- Knab Banking

With more than 5 million users in the Netherlands and abroad, Splitser has firmly established itself as the favourite app for tracking and splitting shared expenses. To date, the app has processed more than €10 billion in group expenses, ranging from holidays and student housing to families, couples, and groups of friends.
Growth and international ambition
Since this year, Splitser has been available in 30 languages and can be used worldwide. With this further international expansion, the team is aiming for its next ambition: to become the best and most popular app in Europe within the shared finance category.

The Website of the Year awards are the annual online public awards for the best and most popular websites and apps in the Netherlands. During the 2025 edition, a total of 420,724 votes were cast. The awards are organized objectively and independently by Multiscope and Emerce.
